Kanye West, performing under the name Ye, headlined a Halloween concert at NRG Stadium in Houston on October 31, 2026. The event drew a reported 80,210 attendees, a figure that exceeds the prior U.S. stadium attendance record for a rap concert by over 6,000 people. Ye previously set that benchmark at SoFi Stadium earlier in 2026 with an audience of approximately 74,000.
The atmosphere on the night was distinct due to the holiday. Many fans arrived in costumes, creating a theatrical environment that contrasted with the standard concert experience. The production design featured a stage structure resembling the Earth, accompanied by lasers, pyrotechnics, and large-scale visual displays. These elements framed a musical performance that traversed the artist's entire career.
The setlist included tracks from various periods of Ye's discography. Songs such as “Stronger,” “Gold Digger,” “Can’t Tell Me Nothing,” and “Runaway” were performed alongside newer releases. This selection allowed for a retrospective of his work, ranging from his early albums to his most recent projects. The performance connected different eras of his musical legacy within a single set.
Two special guests appeared during the show. Playboi Carti joined Ye on stage to perform “Carnival,” “Off the Grid,” and “FE!N.” Ye's daughter, North West, also took the stage to perform alongside her father. Her appearance provided a personal moment within the larger production. The collaboration with Carti introduced a different energy to the performance, while North West's participation added a familial dimension to the evening.
Expectations for additional guests were high due to the presence of local and national figures in the city. Both Drake and Travis Scott were in Houston that night. The two were seen attending a Houston Rockets basketball game earlier in the evening, which fueled speculation about potential surprise performances at the concert. Neither rapper ultimately appeared on stage at NRG Stadium.
The attendance figure of 80,210 stands as the new record for a rap concert in a U.S. stadium. This number reflects the scale of the event and the draw of the artist. The combination of the holiday timing, the expanded setlist, and the guest appearances defined the specific conditions of the October 31 performance.
