Nike launched the Jordan Spiz’ike Low “Jam Central” sneakers on Thursday, November 5, marking the 30th anniversary of the film Space Jam. The new colorway is available for purchase at Nike.com for $165. This release also coincides with the 20th anniversary of the first Jordan Spiz’ike model.
The design merges elements from the Air Jordan III, IV, V, VI, IX, and XX silhouettes. The upper combines authentic and synthetic leather materials. A distinctive feature on the heel is the logo for 40 Acres and a Mule Filmworks, Spike Lee’s production company.
Spike Lee has produced commercials for Nike and Air Jordan since the mid-1980s. His character Mars Blackmon, from the 1986 film She’s Gotta Have It, has appeared in multiple advertisements for the brand. Since the mid-2000s, Jordan Brand has issued special sneakers to honor the director.
The “Jam Central” style incorporates specific details from Space Jam. The Air Jordan Jumpman logo is replaced by an image of Bugs Bunny. The color scheme features black, green strike, racer blue, and atomic orange. The design targets casual wearers with a retro aesthetic.
The sneakers are sold in unisex sizes for adults. Children’s options include big kid, little kid, and baby/toddler sizes. The junior and toddler versions start at a price point of $60. The full Space Jam x Nike collection is available for online shopping.
Nike members receive free shipping on orders exceeding $50. Non-members must spend more than $75 to qualify for free shipping. Signing up for membership is free and requires only an email address. Members also gain access to early product drops, special discounts, and receipt-free returns.
The release expands the Jordan Spiz’ike line, which has previously used limited-edition drops and various colorways to pay tribute to Lee’s work. This new pair adds to the existing range of hybrid Jordan designs.
