The Chicago Bears will send two first-round picks and a fourth-round pick to Tennessee for Jeffery Simmons, a four-time Pro Bowl defensive tackle, the teams confirmed Thursday. Chicago gives up its 2027 and 2028 first-round selections along with a 2027 fourth-rounder. Tennessee returns Simmons and a fifth-round pick in 2028.
Simmons, 29, made First Team All-Pro last season for the Titans, then signed a three-year extension in July reported at $105.8 million that runs through 2030. He has four sacks in seven games this season. His career-highs came in 2025: 11 sacks and three forced fumbles in 15 games.
Tennessee sits at 1-6, and general manager Mike Borgonzi moved the 2019 first-round pick for future draft capital. For Chicago, general manager Ryan Poles is acquiring a defender as the Bears hold a 5-2 record in Ben Johnson's second season, with third-year quarterback Caleb Williams developing. Dennis Allen's defense ranks eighth in yards allowed for the season and third against the run after allowing 37 points in Week 1.
If Simmons plays Monday night in Seattle, he faces a Seahawks team that added guard Quenton Nelson from Indianapolis in a trade Tuesday. The game is scheduled for Week 8.
