Marcus Theatres is lowering drink prices and screening two baseball documentaries to celebrate the Milwaukee Brewers' run to the World Series. The company announced the promotions for locations in the Milwaukee area on Thursday.
Jeff Tomachek, president of Marcus Theatres, said the chain has waited 44 years for this opportunity. He stated that the company wants its theaters to serve as gathering spots for fans, whether they are watching the games or revisiting the team's history.
On game days, participating locations will sell domestic drafts for $5. The menu also includes Game Time Lemonades at $9 and medium pizzas at $10. Appetizers are priced at half price for the duration of the series.
The chain is bringing back two films from 1982 to the big screen. The titles are "UECK" and "Just a Bit Outside: The Story of the 1982 Milwaukee Brewers." Screenings will take place at ten Marcus locations across Wisconsin, including sites in Milwaukee, Brookfield, Green Bay, Appleton, Sheboygan and Oak Creek.
Fans can watch the games on TVs and digital projectors in the bars and lounges at six specific venues. These include Movie Tavern Brookfield, Marcus Majestic Cinema of Brookfield, Marcus Renaissance, Marcus Menomonee Falls, Marcus North Shore Cinema and Marcus BistroPlex. A separate sports bar experience is available at The Wall in Gurnee Cinema.
Members of the Magical Movie Rewards program will receive a free Junior popcorn voucher if they see any movie by October 31. The voucher is redeemable from November 4 through November 24. Non-members can sign up for free before their visit to qualify.
Tickets, showtimes and a list of participating locations are available on the Marcus Theatres website and mobile app. The details were provided in a company press release.
