Fi cuts satellite dog tracker price to $209 for two days
Shoppers can use code SCARY through October 25 to buy the Fi Ultra for its original launch cost.

Fi is selling its satellite-connected pet trackers for 30 percent less through October 25. The discount applies to several models, including the Fi Ultra GPS.
Customers who enter the coupon code SCARY at checkout will pay $209.30 for the Fi Ultra. This price matches the device's original launch cost. The promotion expires at the end of the weekend.
The tracker features an IP68 rating, which makes it fully waterproof in saltwater. Battery life lasts up to five days based on the dog's activity level. The device attaches to a collar or harness and uses LTE, GPS, and Starlink satellite signals to locate pets. It operates in areas without cellular service. The unit can vibrate or play sounds to get a dog's attention. Fi states it is the first dog tracker to combine T-Satellite, Starlink, GPS, and LTE.
The Verge tested the tracker earlier this year in a remote part of South Carolina. The device provided precise tracking, but location updates occurred every two or three minutes. This interval may be slow for fast-moving dogs. Battery life dropped to barely two days when the Lost Mode feature was active. The physical size of the unit suits larger dogs better than small breeds.
Users must maintain an active subscription to access tracking features. Fi offers six-month, one-year, and two-year plans with varying monthly rates. The one-year plan costs $99 for the first year and $189 for each subsequent year. The service is available only in the United States. Satellite coverage does not include Alaska.
The discount brings the cost of the hardware down to a level that aligns with the initial market price. The subscription model remains separate from the device purchase.
